Job Title: Route Optimiser

Job Description:

This is a permanent, full-time role that involves overseeing and streamlining daily operations to ensure efficient transportation of goods. The successful candidate will manage employees and sub-contractors to optimise resource utilisation and maintain a secure, precise, and compliant execution of tasks aligned with customer expectations and legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Organise and coordinate daily activities to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused work
  • Compliance to and enforcement of safety regulations and compliance requirements
  • Supervise and plan employee schedules to ensure efficient loading, unloading, and processing of freight
  • Liaise with customers, operational staff, administration staff, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Monitor and report to management on various KPIs

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the Transport and Logistics industry
  • Ability to think on your feet and adapt to change
  • Effective planning, organising, and time management skills
  • Ability to work autonomously or within a team
