About the Role

This is a technical specialist position within a group focused on sustaining capabilities.

The Tactical Data Link Specialist provides subject matter expertise to support the development and maintenance of user interfaces and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide user/operator subject matter expertise and technical advice to design authorities.
  • Support acquisition and sustainment engineering teams with user/operator subject matter expertise and technical advice.
  • Collaborate with product, system, and fleet managers to provide technical support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries from acquisition and sustainment teams.
  • Assist lead engineers with tasks related to engineering and sustainment.
  • Contribute to certification and safety assessments for tactical data link equipment.
  • Represent projects during formal working groups with stakeholders.
  • Engage with users and manage stakeholder expectations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience working with tactical data link equipment. A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role is required.

You will need to demonstrate a deep understanding of the operational deployment of tactical data link equipment and the systems engineering lifecycle.

Prior experience working in both acquisition and sustainment projects is essential, as well as experience working on remediation projects within defence.

Familiarity with interim authority to operate processes and facilities requirements is also necessary.

A clearance to access ITAR data is mandatory.

A minimum NV1 clearance is required, with NV2 preferred.
