Link 16 Test Support Technician Job Opportunity

This role involves providing technical support for the testing and evaluation of Tactical Data Link components and systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and supporting Tactical Data Link equipment to facilitate testing of ADF platforms throughout Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical support for Conformance to Standard testing and evaluation of Tactical Data Link components and systems
  • RF/tactical communications associated with radio frequency and tactical communications systems in areas such as HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM
  • Setup and support of Tactical Data Link equipment to facilitate testing of ADF platforms throughout Australia
  • Provide technical advice to partners during test events
  • Basic ICT skills and knowledge
  • Ability to meet export control requirements
  • Ability to adhere to Work Health and Safety policies and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Australian Defence security clearance (Negative Vetting 1 level required)
  • Certificate III Electronics & Communication or equivalent desirable
  • Previous experience in Tactical Data Links including Link 11, Link 16 & Link22
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer engagement skills
  • Experience in a Defence-related industry is highly desirable
