The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in marine claims and provide technical support, coaching, and development to the claims team. As a Technical Marine Claims Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Offering high-quality service and building strong relationships with clients, legal representatives, and brokers
  • Maintaining compliance with statutory and regulatory standards, including privacy regulations
  • Determining and communicating indemnity decisions promptly and accurately
  • Accurately documenting claims processes and outcomes, negotiating settlements effectively

You will be working 2 days a week from our office location, enjoying a strong work-life balance with flexibility to work from home and flexible start/finish times. This full-time, permanent role offers a salary of $120,000 - $140,000 plus superannuation benefits.

Key Requirements

To succeed in this position, you will need to possess:

  • Extensive experience in marine claims with strong technical and policy interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to manage diverse portfolios and work effectively with adjusters, solicitors, and consultants
  • Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach to claims
