About the Role

Brigantine Marine Services (AUS) is seeking a seasoned Marine Engineering Technologist to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled professional to work on board our client's vessel, supporting, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and/or tanker operations, with experience in maintaining equipment availability and reliability. A valid Engineer Watchkeeper (Motor), STCW Certificate of Competency with Oil Tanker Endorsement is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain machinery and equipment on board the vessel
  • Conduct initial inspections and estimate costs for repair/installation projects
  • Raise material requisitions and follow up on purchasing equipment and consumable items
  • Carry out maintenance, repair work, shutdowns, and isolations
  • Record accurate machinery and equipment logs and prepare service reports
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as Engine Room Watchkeeper/Maintenance Engineer/Dry Docking Supervisor or similar facilities
  • Experience working on various types of ships, including container, bulk, tankers, and general cargo
  • Familiarity with Safety Management Systems and computerized Planned Maintenance Systems
