About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to provide overall coordination and leadership of library services across the shire. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering outcomes for communities and people in accordance with strategic plans.

As a Library Services Coordinator, your primary focus will be on coordinating the delivery of library services across the shire, leading the activation of library spaces to meet the needs of current and future users. You will oversee library programs and partnerships, manage library assets, volunteers, and key stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement library service strategies that align with community needs and strategic goals.
  • Coordinate the delivery of library services, including programs, events, and outreach activities.
  • Lead the activation of library spaces to meet the needs of current and future users.
  • Oversee library programs and partnerships, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Manage library assets, volunteers, and key stakeholder relationships.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree-level qualification in a relevant field, such as community services, community development, or library and information science.
  • Five years' experience in library services or a similar field.
  • Demonstrated high-level understanding of library principles and practices.
  • Experience in leading and organizing public library services and programs.
  • Experience in project and grant management.
  • Experience in managing/overseeing volunteer programs and development.
