Financial Analyst Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in supporting the cutting-edge MQ-28A Ghost Bat Program. The selected candidate will be part of a diverse team exploring new technology.

The MQ-28A is a revolutionary unmanned teaming aircraft designed, engineered, and manufactured in Australia, marking a significant milestone in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.

This project aims to unlock global defence and aerospace opportunities for Queensland and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our finance team to assist with cost forecasts, monthly financial reporting, and quarterly Estimate at Completion.
  • Analyse Cost performance and provide recommendations on impacts & actions
  • Implement Baseline changes into the financial system
  • Variance reporting on Cost and Schedule performance
  • Pricing of minor contract change proposals
  • Review of financial data with program and leadership stakeholders
  • Stakeholder management including liaising with Control Account managers, finance team and Program Leadership
  • Mentoring of junior analysts in the team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in finance, business or commerce; or equivalent experience in the workforce
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra cost management program or equivalent advantageous
  • Familiarity with earned value management while not essential would be highly regarded
  • Experience with cost forecasting, variance reporting and estimates at completion
  • Experience managing financial baseline changes
  • Experience with Open Plan Professional or equivalent scheduling program advantageous
