We are seeking an experienced Financial Management Specialist to join our team in the Infrastructure Transformation program. Based in the Brisbane CBD, this senior role will support a major financial transformation project within an asset-heavy environment.

This is a pivotal role in driving improved financial governance, reporting and controls, while working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial capability across the organisation.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, particularly in infrastructure or asset-heavy industries. Strong understanding of AASB standards and financial governance is essential, along with proven experience in financial transformation, not just business-as-usual operations.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing improved financial management frameworks, tools and reporting structures; providing subject matter expertise in budgeting, forecasting, capitalisation and financial governance; analysing financial data to support executive decision-making and audit responses; collaborating with senior stakeholders to understand requirements and drive capability uplift; developing project documentation such as process maps, business cases and performance reports; and supporting change management, capability development and cross-functional engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in financial management, particularly in infrastructure or asset-heavy industries;
  • Strong understanding of AASB standards and financial governance;
  • Proven experience in financial transformation, not just business-as-usual operations;
  • Proficiency in financial tools such as Excel, ERP systems, Power BI;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on practical outcomes;
