Join Queensland Fire and Emergency Services as a dedicated Auxiliary Firefighter in Forest Hill. In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team providing emergency response services to the community.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.

About the Role

This role involves responding to fire and other emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness, developing and maintaining competencies through regular drills and training courses, and operating specialist firefighting equipment.

Key Accountabilities

  • As a member of a team, respond to fire and other emergency incidents.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by contributing to community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies by actively participating in regular drills and other relevant training courses provided by QFES.
  • Maintain the required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment in a safe and effective manner.

Requirements

  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Employer's written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable).
  • Live or work within a reasonable distance of auxiliary fire station.
