Firefighter Assistant

The Queensland Fire and Emergency Services is seeking a skilled Auxiliary Firefighter to join their team in Helidon. As an important part of the fire service, this role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and participating in regular drills and training sessions. They will also be required to operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment, contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities, and ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities.
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a manual C Class driver's licence, be an Australian Permanent Resident, and live or work within a reasonable distance of the auxiliary fire station. They must also commit to attending incident and emergency calls, as well as regular drill and training sessions.
