About the Role

The IFYS Ltd Child Protection Residential Care Programs provide a safe and nurturing living environment for children and young people in need. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering day-to-day care to young people in our Residential Care house.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support young people to manage challenging behaviors and develop life skills
  • Plan and attend activities to promote emotional, social, and physical well-being
  • Complete case notes and administrative tasks daily
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment
What We Offer

About You

We are seeking a flexible and adaptable individual who is open to learning and can build rapport quickly with young people displaying complex and challenging behaviors. You will be comfortable with computers and able to complete administrative tasks. Candidates with transferable skills from working with vulnerable people are strongly encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements
  • A QLD Working With Children Blue Card or have applied for one
  • Current valid driver's license with no restrictions
  • Ability to provide two references from recent employers
  • Already hold or are enrolled in a Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field
  • Availability for a variety of different shifts over a fortnightly roster
