We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in Warriewood NSW 2102. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in metal roofing and cladding installations, where hard work will be valued and rewarded.

The Copper and Zinc Roofing Company is a boutique service provider offering premium roofing solutions with a focus on copper, zinc, and aluminium applications for high-end architectural buildings.

This role involves constructing and installing roof framing, underlayment, insulation, and moisture barriers to prepare roofing surfaces for copper and zinc roofing materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials according to project specifications.
  • Construct and install roof framing, including trusses, rafters, and decking, to support copper and zinc roofing materials.
  • Install underlayment, insulation, and moisture barriers to prepare roofing surfaces.
  • Fabricate and install copper and zinc roofing panels, flashing, gutters, and downspouts.
  • Apply sealants, solder joints, and other weatherproofing techniques to ensure the integrity of the roofing system.
  • Collaborate with roofing team members to complete projects efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • A Construction White Card and Working at Heights qualifications are preferred.
  • Relevant qualification or minimum 2 years' experience in carpentry, roofing, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with copper and zinc roofing materials and installation techniques is desired.
  • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, and nail guns.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship are essential.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Salary: The remuneration package offered is approximately $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
