
Nurse - Cancer Care Specialist

This role requires a highly skilled and experienced oncology nurse who can deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care, liaising with the multidisciplinary team, and ensuring patient and staff safety.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Delivering exceptional patient care that is compassionate, empathetic, and tailored to individual needs
- Liaising effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
- Ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff by identifying and mitigating potential risks
- Supervising and guiding nursing team members to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care
- Providing education and support to patients and their families to empower them in their healthcare journey
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills, sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well independently and within a team. You will also need to be competent in chemotherapy/immunotherapy administration, IV cannulation & accessing of CVAD/ports, and ADAC trained and certified.
Additionally, you will need to have current registration with AHPRA, a working with children check, and at least 2 years recent oncology nursing experience.
