A senior registered nurse is required to work as a prostate cancer specialist nurse. This is a fixed-term opportunity.
- The successful candidate will have extensive clinical experience in patient care management, particularly in the area of prostate cancer nursing.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and be able to motivate and empower patients to participate in their own care.
ResponsibilitiesThe duties for this position include:
- Providing and coordinating care for individuals with prostate cancer.
- Maintaining accurate records of nursing assessments and outcomes.
- Triage patients to determine areas of need and levels of assistance required.
- Provides ongoing psychosocial support in accordance to the individual needs of the patient.
- Act as a resource for contact, information and support for those affected by cancer.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW.
- MQ Health Immunisation screening.
- This position requires a Criminal History Check.
