Job Title

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Commercial Project Coordinator. This exciting opportunity is part of our team in Perth, Western Australia.

This project involves managing commercial and contract matters for allocated subcontracts. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with operating standards, supporting internal stakeholders with tendering and subcontract formation, and assisting with the project subcontracting strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction management principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

About the Role

In this role, you will effectively manage all aspects of commercial and contract matters on allocated subcontracts. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Compliance with Operating Standards throughout project delivery
  • Supporting internal stakeholders with tendering and subcontract formation
  • Assisting with the project subcontracting strategy
  • Managing the administration of all subcontracts to optimize earnings on project
  • Preparing claims and variations for the adjustment of compensation and time under the head contract and assigned subcontracts
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, law, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in managing subcontractors and suppliers
  • Demonstrated experience as a contracts administrator or commercial/contracts advisor on building projects
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and exceptional communication skills
