Therapy and Leisure Partner

We are seeking a part-time Therapy and Leisure Partner to join our team in Brookton.

You will be instrumental in promoting the physical and emotional well-being of residents by partnering with them to engage in meaningful activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with allied health professionals to support residents in maintaining optimal functional abilities.
  • Actively supporting residents to use and develop their abilities to engage in activities meaningful to them.
  • Ensuring safe and sound work practices that comply with Work Health and Safety policies.
  • Adhering to residents' care plans in the provision of person-centered support during therapeutic activities.
  • Encouraging and supporting family participation in the everyday life of their family member.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be a Therapy and Leisure Partner with experience in dealing with dementia. A Certificate III in Allied Health is highly advantageous.

  • Experience working with dementia clients and residents in relation to leisure and therapeutic activity.
  • Certificate III in Allied Health (highly advantageous).
  • A commitment to providing customer-centric service.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
