About the Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales as an Apprentice for Mechanical Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and Structures Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

Job Summary

Two (2) full-time, permanent positions are available Monday through Thursday, working 38 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out any general duties such as washing and cleaning aircraft, maintaining consumable levels within the Hangar and yard duties as required.
  • Identify any potential hazards and notify the Head of Maintenance / Maintenance Supervisor
  • Maintain high standards of discipline, organization and housekeeping.
  • Ensure Daily tasks are completed as directed by LAMEs and Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and Civil Aviation Regulations.
  • Facility issues are reported at time of discovery to the Coordinating LAME or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Communicating process improvements activities
  • Cleaning equipment when required.
  • Assist with Green and Red Tagging, servicing, repairs and general maintenance to your appropriate skill level.
  • Assist tradesman as required.
  • Deliver, collect, or relocate equipment.
  • Keep working area in a clean, safe and tidy state.
  • Carry out general maintenance and damage repairs to equipment.
  • Ensure a tidy working area, including yard, wash bay and emptying bins.
  • Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft tasks or components is conducted in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in company WH & S program
  • Actively participate in company safety management system
  • Advise the Coordinating LAME of any defects or issues found when performing assigned tasks.
  • Provide regular feedback to the Coordinating LAME and/or Maintenance Supervisor on progress of assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate good judgement and efficiency in the use of company resources; and
  • Ensuring personal conduct is in line with the Employee Handbook and Employee Code of Conduct & Business Ethics.
