Event Staff Roles for Senior State Championships

The role of the event staff is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the championships.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that courts and equipment are set up and ready for matches in a timely manner
  • Verifying net height and tension to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Distributing match equipment such as score sheets, pens, and match balls while setting up scoreboards
  • Maintaining an accurate record of match progress and court activity
  • Ensuring teams and duty officials are present and prepared before matches commence
  • Adjusting net heights as required during the course of the tournament
  • Collecting and verifying completed score sheets to ensure accuracy
  • Updating match results in the VQ Results Management System and displaying physical results accordingly

Amenities Provided:

  • Accommodation will be provided for individuals residing more than 1 hour from their assigned venue
  • A 30-minute break will be provided every 5 hours to maintain optimal productivity

Essential Requirements:

  • Prior experience in venue or event management is essential for this role
  • A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is mandatory prior to commencement
