Critical Care Specialist

Ambulance Victoria is committed to delivering outstanding emergency healthcare services to the Victorian and Tasmanian community. As a Critical Care Specialist - Stroke Physician, you will play a vital role in our team, providing exceptional care to patients who require urgent medical attention.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $250,000-$350,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a 12-month fixed-term part-time position, with opportunities for overtime and shift work.
About the Role- Providing expert clinical advice to emergency departments across Victoria and Tasmania via the Victorian Stroke Telemedicine (VST) service.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance patient outcomes and staff efficiency.
Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with accreditation to practice as a Neurologist or Stroke Physician in Australia or New Zealand.
- Current professional medical indemnity insurance for clinical practice in Australia.
- Relevant experience in managing complex stroke patients and delivering stroke thrombolysis and other interventions.
