About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Assurance Professional to execute audits in a timely manner, assist with other matters and projects, and supervise assignments to ensure that audit documentation is completed in a timely and high-quality manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute audits in accordance with industry standards.
  • Develop engagement scope and objectives, considering tests, clients, industry risks, and controls.
  • Perform fieldwork in accordance with industry protocols.
  • Evaluate findings for relevance and form opinions.
  • Communicate progress and results to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports in accordance with industry guidelines.
  • Present materials clearly, logically, and precisely.
  • Report issues accurately and address them according to significance.
  • Maintain timely and clear communication with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure findings are communicated as they are identified, outstanding information requests are completed, and stakeholder relationships are strengthened.
  • Prepare clear, specific, well-presented workpapers.
  • Draft queries professionally and concisely with minor amendments.
  • Proactively chase stakeholders when delays occur.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • CA/CPA qualification or working towards completion.
  • Minimum three years of recent work experience in a public practice firm.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with risk assessment abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously.
  • Ability to apply professional skepticism.
