Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an accomplished Mining Professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our mining operations.

  • Deliver expert technical advice that supports strategic decision-making and optimises mine scheduling and performance.
  • Ensure the quality of technical services delivered are fit-for-purpose and can bridge the gap between theoretical/design and practicality in the workplace.
  • Work across the ventilation and gas management space to ensure safe and compliant underground mining conditions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of systems that support effective airflow and gas monitoring.
  • Enhance the value of resources by applying relevant technology, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies.
  • Plan and coordinate mine planning and production review meetings engaging site stakeholders.
  • Support production goals by maintaining high standards in underground environmental controls.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified professional (or equivalent)
  • Extensive operating experience in underground coal mining
  • A detailed understanding of coal mining processes
  • Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application
  • A high level of planning and problem-solving ability
  • Previous experience within underground mining operations (preferably coal)
  • Previous experience with mine planning tools
