Principal Tailings Engineer Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Tailings Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and management of tailings storage facilities and water storage facilities.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Civil/geotechnical engineering design
- Geotechnical analysis using various software packages
- Tailings deposition modeling
- Site characterization and instrumentation monitoring system development
- Project/task management and proposal preparation support
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field (required)
- Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field (preferred)
- Professional registration (preferred but not essential)
- At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment (required)
