Key Job Responsibilities\

The Senior Legal Counsel will lead a team and oversee all commercial legal work across the organisation.

\About the Role\
  • Advising on general commercial contracts, procurement, IP and other legal frameworks;
  • Leading or contributing to projects such as contracting playbooks and risk frameworks;
  • Supporting the implementation of consistent workflows and guidance material across teams;
  • Supervising a Legal Counsel and supporting their growth and development;
  • Engaging with various stakeholders including senior leadership; and
  • Managing relationships with external firms.
\Your Skills and Qualifications\

You are a commercially minded lawyer with at least 7 - 8 years' PQE and preferably previous in-house or public sector experience. Key skills and attributes include:

  • Broad commercial experience across contracts, IP, procurement and commercial projects;
  • Sound judgement, strong communication and experience working with a range of stakeholders;
  • Ability to guide and support junior team members;
  • Candidates with an interest in building out systems and improving the way legal services are delivered will be highly regarded.

Experience in the health, aged care, disability, university or NFP sectors is beneficial.
