A skilled legal professional is sought to protect and support the growth of an organisation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

The Role

An experienced and proactive Legal Manager is required to oversee contracts, intellectual property, insurance, and compliance, working closely with the executive team to manage risk and safeguard the organisation's interests.

Main Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer commercial and legal agreements.
  • Oversee global IP assets in coordination with international law firms, ensuring protection and enforcement of rights.
  • Administer corporate insurance policies, including renewals and claims handling across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate regulations, product safety laws, WHS, and consumer law.
  • Advise on ACCC compliance and handle legal aspects of consumer issues.
  • Engage and manage external counsel domestically and internationally.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on risk management, contracts, and governance.
About YouRequirements
  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent qualification.
  • Admission as a legal practitioner preferred but not essential.
Experience
  • 4+ years in-house or corporate advisory legal role.
  • Proven expertise in contract law, corporate compliance, and risk management or similar.
  • Experience with intellectual property and insurance law advantageous.
  • Exposure to employment law and HR compliance advantageous.
Skills
  • Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management capabilities.
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive matters.
