About the RoleThe Specialist Family Violence Practitioner is a vital position within our organisation, providing specialist support and holistic case management to Aboriginal people experiencing family and domestic violence.
This role requires a high level of expertise and knowledge in family and domestic violence practice, including risk assessment under the MARAM framework, individualised support planning, and coordination of wraparound services.
Key Responsibilities- Risk assessment under the MARAM framework
- Individualised support planning
- Coordination of wraparound services
- Overseeing complex cases
- Providing clinical supervision and mentoring to Family and Domestic Violence Case Workers
- Delivering specialist secondary consultation to strengthen responses across the organisation and with external partners
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, community services, or a related field
- Demonstrated specialist knowledge and experience in family and domestic violence practice, including use of the MARAM framework
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice, particularly in working with Aboriginal people, families and communities
