Derby Aboriginal Health Service (DAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) dedicated to delivering holistic primary health care services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals in Derby and surrounding regions. Position Overview

The Leaving Violence Case Worker plays a crucial role , providing culturally safe, trauma-informed case management to victim-survivors of intimate partner violence through the Leaving Violence Program (LVP). You will be responsible for ensuring responsive and appropriate support through a structured 12-week framework, where you will assess risk, develop safety plans, and coordinate services to empower clients on their journey towards safety and healing.

This position does not involve crisis intervention; however, your expertise will be vital in connecting individuals to the appropriate crisis services and providing ongoing support. Your thorough documentation and adherence to DAHS policies will ensure high-quality care and compliance with program requirements.

Who You Are

We are looking for a compassionate and resilient individual who is deeply respectful of cultural practises and committed to providing support to those experiencing family and domestic violence. You will possess a strong understanding of the issues facing Aboriginal communities and demonstrate a capacity to manage multiple cases effectively.

  • Experience in case management and the ability to develop effective family violence safety plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build productive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Effective conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
  • A current C class WA driver's licence and relevant clearances (National Police Clearance, WA Working with Children Check, First Aid).

Remuneration: $85,412-$93,193 per annum pro rata + superannuation + salary sacrifice

  • Annual Airfare Derby-Perth-Derby return after 12 months of continuous employment to the value of $1,683
  • Accommodation allowance of $7,800 towards rent expenses
  • 5 weeks annual leave per annum pro rata with 17.5% Leave loading
  • Salary packaging gross up amount of $30,000 optional
