Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced People and Culture Officer to join our team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for delivering HR management and payroll system services to support the growth and development of our workforce.

About the Role

The People and Culture Officer will work closely with the Senior Leader People and Culture to deliver strategic and operational expertise to senior leaders and employees on HR related matters. This includes providing advice and support on employee engagement, recruitment, training, and development.

  • Delivering HR functions to meet legislative requirements and audit requirements.
  • Coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
  • Providing administration support to hiring managers and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Participating in recruitment, including interview panels and reference checks.
  • Managing terminations, role changes, transfers, and changes to conditions of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee lifecycle management, including recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, students, volunteers, learning and development, and maintaining employee files.
  • Administrative support to hiring managers, including creation and maintenance of employee files, filing, and archiving.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, including probity checks, reference checks, and qualification registration.
  • Managing terminations, role changes, transfers, and changes to conditions of employment.
