Workplace Injury Prevention Specialist

About this role
- We are seeking an Injury Management Specialist to join our team.
This is a new position responsible for ensuring a comprehensive approach to injury management across the organisation.
The specialist will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide occupational rehabilitation advice, capability and support to managers of workers' compensation, injury management and return-to-work programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing effective communication and problem-solving skills to work closely with managers at all levels to identify and quantify significant injury management issues;
- Developing strategies to address these issues in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders;
- Coordinating return-to-work outcomes and managing competing priorities with strong organisational and project management skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health or equivalent experience and relevant WorkCover 'Return to Work Coordinator' accreditation;
- Prior experience in Health Management, Workers Compensation, Occupational Rehabilitation, with proven stakeholder management and advisory skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with effective partnering, influencing and negotiation skills;
- Strong organisational and project management skills to effectively coordinate and manage competing priorities.
