Job Description

We are seeking a skilled designer to support our engineering functions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the team to create technical drawings, 3D models and details.

The role involves determining factors such as tolerances, dimensioning, weldability and ease of assembly. The candidate will also be responsible for creating designs in line with company procedures, regulations and client standards.

In addition to design responsibilities, the successful candidate will assist with field and manufacturing problems, site services and engineering functions such as design reviews, risk assessments and execution activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline
  • Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, Autocad, Professional Vault, Navisworks)
  • 5+ years' experience in a design role or related experience
  • Bulk Material Handling or Heavy Industrial/Mining Industry experience
  • Belt Conveyor Design experience
  • Working knowledge of Australian standards (AS4024, AS1100, AS1654 and AS1657)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Full Drivers Licence
