About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Health Education Officer.

This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in greater Brisbane and Logan.

  • This role involves delivering school and community-based health education, promotion, and prevention activities in line with the Regional Action Plan and localised Key Performance Indicators.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing health education programs that cater to the unique needs of our community.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver health education programs that meet the needs of our community.
  2. Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  3. Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to promote health education programs.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health education programs.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of the health needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of organisational and time management skills.
