About this Opportunity

This is a pivotal role in making a positive impact on public health and prisoner education in Western Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with stakeholders from various government departments and six identified Western Australian prisons to coordinate and integrate within each prison's operational structure.
  • Lead and facilitate the delivery of the Hepatitis Education Program to health service staff, correctional officers, and people in prison, utilizing an established education package.
  • Collaborate with the project team and stakeholders to maintain continuous progress and track milestones, ensuring smooth program delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, health education, or public health are essential.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently in fast-paced or complex situations are required.
  • Experience working within Western Australian prisons and engaging with health professionals is necessary.
  • Knowledge of health workforce education and development is also required.
  • Previous experience in non-for-profit sector, government, or non-government organizations is beneficial.
