Responsibilities: Actively keeps knowledge up-to-date by attending in-services, conferences, and seeking on-going educational opportunities.
Continually seeks self-growth opportunities.Conduct presentations, outreach activities about health and nutrition education, especially on lead poisoning prevention and related topics within the County of San Diego.
You participate in health fair events.
You have a passion for community health promotion, for serving the medically underserved, and you understand-and can easily communicate-how healthy life style and nutrition drives patient health and outcomes.Conducts nutrition/health education presentations and especially on lead poisoning prevention, teaches parents and caregivers how to make informed decisions about protecting their children from lead poisoning.Collaborate with community agencies and other relevant programs to promote outreach services.Actively participates in and contributes to Health Education/project staff meetings, projects and other activities.Completes all required documentation accurately, in a timely manner, and thoroughly in accordance with department standards.Individually and/or with the nutrition team, plans, creates, and develops nutrition and health education topic outlines and curriculums, incorporating various learning techniques and formats (i.e., group discussion, lectures, role-play, etc.).
Reviews and assists in determining the linguistic and cultural appropriateness of materials, teaching aids, activities, methods, strategies, programs, etc.
Review the efficacy of materials and programs and provides positive, action-oriented feedback.

$26.00 - 32.47If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience.
In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer.
Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
