Job Summary

The Director of Digital Transformation will lead a high-profile initiative to modernize core tax systems and boost revenue through enhanced compliance.

This challenging role involves overseeing the transformation of digital infrastructure and compliance functions across Stamp Duty and Land Tax, resulting in improved customer experience and stronger governance throughout the organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversight of a multi-year transformation program aligned with government objectives and revenue targets.
  • Implementation of new digital systems and business processes supporting real-time compliance.
  • Establishment and maintenance of robust governance, reporting, and performance frameworks.
  • Leadership of a multidisciplinary team including 5 direct reports.
  • Fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued support, transparency, alignment, and delivery confidence.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in delivering large-scale programs within a government or regulatory environment.
  • A proven track record of managing a compliance function in taxation or revenue contexts.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation, and business process redesign.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Proven success in leading large teams and delivering measurable benefits.
  • Expertise in project governance, risk management, and benefits realization.
  • Detailed understanding of State Taxes.
