Digital Transformation Leader

The NSW Department of Customer Service is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead a multi-year initiative as Director Program Delivery aimed at modernising core digital tax systems and delivering additional compliance revenue.
Main Responsibilities- Steer the delivery of a multi-year transformation aligned with government priorities and compliance revenue targets.
- Oversee the implementation of new digital systems and business processes that support real-time compliance.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, reporting, and performance frameworks.
- Inspire and lead a multidisciplinary team, including 5 direct reports.
- Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to maintain continued support, transparency, alignment, and delivery confidence.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in delivering large-scale, complex programs in a government or regulatory environment.
- Proven experience running a compliance function in taxation or revenue contexts.
- Advanced knowledge of IT systems, digital transformation, and business process redesign.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated success managing large, multidisciplinary teams and delivering measurable benefits.
