Job Opportunity

Ballarat City Council seeks a skilled professional to join our Rapid Response team as a Civil Maintenance Hand.

This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary range and excellent benefits.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the city's civil infrastructure, parks, gardens, streetscapes, and high-profile public spaces.

Responsibilities include operating and maintaining various plant and equipment to carry out maintenance activities safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture/arboriculture or Civil Maintenance, with strong communication skills and a cooperative approach.

Key qualifications include a Certificate III in Civil Maintenance, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscaping, or a related trade, and hands-on experience in horticultural or arboricultural maintenance.

A current Victorian Medium Rigid Truck Licence is also required.
