First Nations Community Development Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate First Nations Community Development Worker to join our team at Interrelate. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, safety, and resilience of First Nations children, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with First Nations community members, elders, and stakeholders to identify community needs and develop culturally informed programs.
- Work collaboratively with our team to build and deliver programs that support First Nations families through life transitions, including relationship breakdowns, parenting arrangements, and youth mental health support.
- Organise community events, seminars, and workshops to promote healthy relationships and family well-being.
- Provide case management support to First Nations families and individuals.
- First Nations background and experience in community work with First Nations families and children.
- Experience in community work, family mediation, or a related field, particularly with First Nations families and children.
- Certificate IV in Community Development or a related qualification.
- Experience in case management or a willingness to develop these skills.
- A competitive hourly rate of $53.24, plus 11.5% superannuation.
