About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at the Coffs Harbour City Council. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining parks, gardens, amenities, and playgrounds within the Coffs Coast community.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining parks, gardens, and open spaces to a high standard
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, mowing, and repairs
  • Implementing herbicide programs for parkland maintenance
  • Assisting with construction and maintenance projects

You will work closely with the Open Spaces Coordinator to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Certificate III in Horticulture or Civil Construction, or equivalent
  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers Licence
  • National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard)
  • Demonstrated experience in gardening, labouring, or horticultural operations
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of green spaces

  • Starting salary from $55,672.04 + 11.5% superannuation
  • Permanent Full-Time 38 hours per week / Fixed Term Full-Time until 2026
  • Options to accrue flex time (RDO's) and flexible working arrangements

  • Scope for performance-based salary increases
