Merchandise Planning Role

This is a highly analytical position that involves overseeing the merchandise planning process, ensuring accurate forecasting and optimizing inventory deployment.

The ideal candidate will have strong numerical skills and experience in buying/merchandise planning, particularly in the Luxury and Fashion industry. They will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, managing open-to-buy budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing comprehensive merchandise plans, including budgeting, allocation, and assortment strategies;
  • Analyzing sales data and market trends to inform product offerings and optimize inventory levels;
  • Collaborating with buyers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless merchandise execution;
  • Forecasting sales and stock needs for new and carryover lines;
  • Synthesizing buying results and conducting post-buy analysis to inform future decision-making;

Additional responsibilities include driving sell-through for seasonal and permanent collections, optimizing product mix and managing lifecycle, and minimizing aged stock. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, numerical, and communication skills, as well as experience in luxury merchandising and retail operations.
