About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Administrator to join our team at Fujitsu. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our enterprise applications and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Administration: Ensure application health and regular checking and maintenance of the application, code base, scripts, and database on customer networks.
  • Database Administration: Ensure database health and perform database administration functions such as backups, restore, troubleshooting, and configuration.
  • Release Management: Manage Fujitsu development and test environments, manage change control of application code, produce release packages, and install versions of the application software on customer environments.
  • Administrator SME Advice: Advise on non-routine activities relating to the application stack and database health, advise on questions of impact on licensing, and participate in consultations with technical professionals to solve problems.
Requirements and Experience
  • Substantial previous experience in a similar role is essential, e.g., DBA for other RDBMS.
  • Progress 4GL, Progress RDBMS, MS SQL Server, MS Windows Server, Sun Solaris, or Unix equivalent, systems administration, and current or reinstatable AGSVA Security Clearance are required.
  • Tertiary ICT qualification or related discipline and Defence experience are highly desirable.
