We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee our fleet management operations across Western Australia. This is a senior leadership role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of business operations and financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% safety compliance and promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety standards across the team.
- Oversee fleet equipment maintenance, ensuring machines operate at peak performance levels (98% availability).
- Lead and mentor Assistant Managers, Superintendents, and crew members, ensuring compliance with training requirements and personal development plans.
- Monitor key performance indicators and report on operations to stakeholders, maintaining authorized machine inventory levels and managing resource allocation.
- Foster strong relationships with customer contacts, ensuring service expectations are met and resolving any issues promptly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven leadership experience managing large, complex fleets and teams within a high-demand, 24/7 operational environment.
- A strong background in operations, with an in-depth understanding of preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment performance improvement.
- A deep understanding of business operations, including financial management, forecasting, and KPI analysis.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and build lasting customer relationships.
- The ability to work under pressure, make decisions quickly, and lead teams to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
