Defence Social Worker

Australian Barnardos Recruitment Services is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Holsworthy Barracks. As a Social Worker, you will provide support to Defence personnel and their families, conducting welfare and risk assessments, creating detailed reports, and working within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide social work services face-to-face to members and their families who require support
- Carry out welfare and risk assessments to identify and address complex issues
- Create detailed reports requiring high attention to detail
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure Defence members and their families' needs are consistently met
- Work efficiently across a varied caseload to ensure reports are created and submitted in line with Defence policy, processes, and procedures
- Degree qualified in Social Work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of guidance from experienced management team
- Minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience in a social work-related position
- Demonstrated crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and report writing skills
- Australian citizenship
- Australian driver's license
