Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide social work services face-to-face to members and their families who require support
  • Carry out welfare and risk assessments to identify and address complex issues
  • Create detailed reports requiring high attention to detail
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure Defence members and their families' needs are consistently met
  • Manage a varied caseload to ensure reports are created and submitted in line with Defence policy, processes, and procedures
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Social Work
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level of guidance from experienced management team
  • Minimum of 2 years' postgraduate experience in a social work-related position
  • Demonstrated crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and report writing skills
  • Australian citizenship
  • Australian driver's license
