The successful candidate will have a degree in Social Work and eligibility to the AASW, with demonstrated experience working in an acute healthcare facility. They will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care, working in partnership with Medical Officers and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
The Social Worker will provide assessment and evidence-based treatment to a wide variety of patients, including those in surgical, medical, critical care, emergency, maternity, paediatrics, and aged care. They will also participate in our social work weekend on-call crisis roster.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have highly developed social work assessment and counselling skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
