About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Challenge Community Services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential assistance to our high-needs clients, aiding with personal care and daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to clients with complex needs, including personal care and daily tasks.
  • Assist clients with mobility and medical needs, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to promote autonomy and independence among clients.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Confident in engaging with clients effectively and building positive relationships.
  • Resilient and self-assured, able to work with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Skilled in prioritizing tasks and demonstrating problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexible, with availability for shift work, sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
  • Holder of a valid Australian Driver's License, Working With Children Check, and NSW NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Able to pass a National Criminal History Check.
  • Full COVID vaccination status
  • Experience working with high-needs Disability clients.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent (desirable).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes (desirable).
