Job Description:

The Faculty of Health at the University of Technology Sydney is a broad and multi-disciplinary faculty addressing health from conception to end of life.

As a long-standing partner of health professions, the faculty is highly engaged with the health sector, industry, practitioners, and the worldwide research community.

This role provides leadership fostering excellence in research, teaching, engagement, and professional activities within the School of Nursing & Midwifery at UTS and NSLHD.

With 50% time allocated to UTS and 50% to NSLHD, the incumbent will promote innovation and research in critical care nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and foster excellence in research, teaching, engagement, and professional activities
  • Allocate time between UTS and NSLHD to promote innovation and research in critical care nursing
Required Skills & Qualifications:

You are a highly accomplished leader with a proven track record in research and teaching in Emergency and Critical Care. With an international or national profile in this field, you have demonstrated superior leadership skills particularly in engaging and developing research teams and fostering collaborative relationships.

PhD in nursing or a related discipline is required. Additionally, APHRA Registration as a nurse is necessary. Experience in supervising higher degree research students and mentoring research supervisors is also desirable.
