Key Responsibilities

The Regulatory Officer plays a critical role in supporting the employer compliance team's approach to ensuring employers adhere to legislative obligations under the Long Service Benefits Portability Act.

Role Overview

  • Understanding how the Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme covers employers and their workers, providing authoritative guidance on regulatory obligations.
  • Triage of complaints, including desktop analysis, assessments, and engagement with employers.
  • Communicating with employers, reviewing responses and documents, ensuring accurate worker reporting, and identifying cases for investigation.

We are looking for a dedicated and analytical individual who can make sound decisions and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and make assessments of facts against a legislative/regulatory framework.
  • Sound analytical skills and a solutions mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to form strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure, both autonomously and collaboratively within team settings.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate case management data/records.
