Job Title: Renewable Energy OH&S Manager
Job Summary:
D'Arcy Weil is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Manager to join our team and support a prominent renewable energy client based in Melbourne. As the OH&S Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, contractors, and communities involved in renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage OH&S systems for renewable energy projects.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to address and mitigate OH&S risks.
- Ensure compliance with OH&S legislation, regulations, and industry standards across project sites.
- Provide guidance and support on OH&S policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver OH&S training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess and improve OH&S performance.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate OH&S requirements into project planning and execution.
- Manage contractor and subcontractor OH&S performance.
- Serve as the main point of contact for OH&S inquiries and concerns.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, industry organizations, and community stakeholders on OH&S matters.
- Prepare and maintain OH&S documentation and records.
- Participate in project planning and design reviews to address OH&S considerations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OH&S performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree or professional certification preferred.
- White card required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OH&S management, ideally in the renewable energy or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of OH&S legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing OH&S management systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
