Job Title: Mental Health Clinician Community Aod

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated mental health clinician to join our community team in Regional NSW. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain valuable experience in a locum role, while enjoying generous casual rates, accommodation, and travel allowance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients who require Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Support. Our team provides holistic care, using evidence-based therapeutic interventions, to help individuals at risk of serious mental illness.

This 12-week locum assignment offers you the chance to explore Young, NSW, a beautiful town in the South West Slopes region of New South Wales, Australia. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a caseload of clients, providing assessment, case management, and support to patients, their families, and carers.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who can identify and engage with key community service providers to deliver rehabilitation, recovery, support, and discharge planning consistent with the patient's needs.

About the Role:

  • Assessment and case management of clients with complex mental health needs
  • Working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Identifying and engaging with key community service providers to deliver support and rehabilitation services
  • Providing education and awareness activities to increase understanding of psychiatric disorders within the community

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing
  • Current registration with professional body or eligibility to do so
  • National Police Check
  • Covid 19 vaccination including booster
