Allied Health Assistant

Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) work within our multidisciplinary team to ensure we can deliver highly responsive and person-centred care. AHAs work between inpatient and community roles in the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, sub-acute ward, Day Centre and Transitional Aged Care Program.
AHA fulltime position available at Mercy Care Centre, Young NSW (a rural public hospital). Work across multiple therapeutic healthcare areas.
Implement therapy plans and care to diverse patient caseload as specified by an allied health professional.
Deliver and monitor individual and group exercise, personal care, education and therapy sessions requested by allied health professionals.
Provide administrative support including booking appointments, recording data using computer programs, ordering resources and statistic entry.
Support the fitting of assistive devices, equipment set up and cleaning, personal care, domestics, assist with client care and rehabilitation of patients and health screening at reception of staff and visitors.
ABOUT YOU:
Completed or studying towards a Cert 3 or Cert 4 in Allied Health Assistance.
You will be organised, caring and have a positive attitude.
Experience within the health or exercise industry preferred.
Able to carry out clinician instructions and communicate effectively with the team and patients.
