The role of the Senior Legal Professional is a critical component of our team, providing high-level legal advice and support to our staff to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
As a Senior Legal Professional, you will work closely with the Director and other senior advisors to develop and implement legal strategies that align with our organizational goals.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert legal advice and support to our staff on a range of matters, including administrative law, privacy, and freedom of information.
- Develop and implement legal strategies that align with our organizational goals and objectives.
- Work collaboratively with the Director and other senior advisors to identify and prioritize key legal issues and develop solutions.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform legal decisions and provide recommendations to management.
- Manage a caseload of complex legal matters, including administrative decision-making and ad-hoc tasks.
- An undergraduate degree in law.
- Admission as a legal practitioner of the High Court or the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory.
- A minimum of 5 years post-admission experience in a similar role.
- Australian citizenship.
- Character clearance (Australian Criminal History Check).
- Employee Health Declaration.
- 6 months probationary period for new engagements.
